A trap a lot of foreigners get into when living in Japan is getting stuck in an English speaking bubble. They feel discouraged that they cannot communicate with their Japanese coworkers, fellow students, or just people on the street. So they often run to those who speak their own language. This can often lead to a loop of complaining and lead to a negative image or feeling about Japan, and eventually lead to resentment. Not a good loop to get into. So, here are some tips to stay out of the English only bubble!
