Exploring Japan: Flooded Rice Fields in May


Every year in May, when the rice is planted in the rice fields, the farmers will flood the rice fields with water. In the countryside of Tochigi Prefecture, there are many of these fields, resulting in a beautiful landscape that is often breathtaking to behold. I took a bike ride through the fields and wanted to capture some of the natural beauty of Spring in Japan.
